“The Dog Park” — An Excerpt

Vanessa is an emerging author, dipping her pen in all manner of genres that interest her. For her novel writing, she focuses mainly on Fiction, such as YA Fantasy, Contemporary Adult Fiction, Dystopian/Post-Apocalypse, Sci-Fi and more. Each story carries an element of Romance with redemptive and happy endings. She also writes guest posts for blogs and has had a number of her short stories and poems published in Literary Journals and Chapbooks alike. Her preferred writing style focuses on emotion and character development, creating prose that engages the readers imagination with poetic imagery. When Vanessa is not writing, she can be found exploring nature, reading, painting, spending time with horses or participating in a variety of physical activities. She lives in a small rural town outside Ottawa, Canada’s Capital, with her husband and four children.
